AZ2Palestine - Gaza CeaseFire Pilgrimage - Phoenix 2024
Saturday, March 23, 2024 11 miles walk from 7 AM till 5 PM
All over the world, people are walking in solidarity with those fleeing violence in Gaza. We will be walking 11 miles (half the length of Gaza) on March 23rd as a tangible way to pray with our bodies for peace and justice as an interfaith community. Come join us for one segment of the walk, for a water break, for our evening vigil, or for the whole day!
Our route will take us down Central Ave. to Van Buren, one of the historic lines of segregation in our own community. As we walk, we are encouraged to remember the O’odham and other indigenous peoples of our own land, reflecting on the shared stories across the globe. The route will end with a vigil at the Capitol in the evening 🕯️🕊️
