Congress is set to vote on two significant measures affecting Palestine:

1️⃣ Joint Resolutions of Disapproval (JRDs): These resolutions aim to block over $20 billion in offensive weapons sales to Israel, previously approved by the Biden administration. If passed, this would mark the first Congressional effort to directly halt U.S. arms transfers to Israel.
2️⃣ H.R. 9495 (“Nonprofit Killer” Bill): Reintroduced after being blocked in the House last week, this bill includes provisions that could suppress legitimate criticism of Israel. It threatens religious and advocacy groups supporting Palestinian human rights, using “national security” as justification for targeting them.
