World Hijab Day - February 1st
World Hijab Day is an annual event in its 9th year.
On February 1st of every year, World Hijab Day Organization asks global citizens of all faiths and backgrounds to wear Hijab for a day in solidarity with Muslim women worldwide.
The brainchild of this movement is a New York resident, Nazma Khan, who came up with the idea as a means to foster religious tolerance and understanding by inviting women to experience the hijab for one day.
