Program: Saturdays from 10 AM till 12 PM

Direction: Central Phoenix

Training: Sunday, November 10, 2024 from 9 AM till 1 PM

We are looking for people who are passionate about giving children a hand up to volunteer with us. We are starting a new reading program in a housing complex in central phoenix with many refugees and other low-income families from diverse backgrounds. Our objective is to teach 4-9year old kids to read proficiently at 2nd grade level and beyond. We will teach them to read, to write, and to experience the joy of reading through "Story Time" where we read them story books with diverse characters that reflect the diversity of the kids, so they can see themselves in these stories.
